Woman Praying

WORSHIP ACROSS THE BENEFICE

Worship and prayer is central to all we do at Tadcaster Benefice. We offer a number of different services to ensure you can always worship with the community.

BENEFICE SERVICES

We have a wide range of church services across the Benefice, including regular Holy Communion services, family services and morning prayer.
We are a theologically liberal Benefice and our church worship tradition is varied, encompassing the use of Common Worship and BCP, as well as more informal music at some services. We are also lucky enough to have a robed choir that take part in regular services at St Mary's Tadcaster.

The best way to keep up to date with weekly services is to follow our Instagram and Facebook pages - click on the icons at the bottom of the website to be taken to our social media pages. Alternatively please check our homepage by clicking the 'Home' tab at the top of this site. You can also find more service details and Benefice news by clicking the 'More' tab and selecting the weekly notice sheet.

ONLINE SERVICES

If you can't get to church, don't worry! You can join us from anywhere in the world, all from the comfort of your own home.

We have you covered with various forms of online worship, including live streams of Morning Prayer from our Facebook page every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 09.00 AM. There is also a live-streamed Holy Communion service from St Mary's Tadcaster at 11.30 AM.

And lastly, on the third Sunday of the month at 08.00 AM, we have live-streamed BCP Holy Communion, again on the Tadcaster Benefice Facebook page. All these services are available on the page to watch at a later time or date too.

You can also join us on Zoom on Mondays for Morning Prayer at 09.00 AM and for Compline/Night Prayer every Sunday and Wednesday evening at 8.30 PM.

SOCIAL EVENTS

Fellowship is really important to us, so we run several social groups at St Mary's Tadcaster and are looking to add more across the Benefice.

Every Wednesday from 10.30 at St Mary's Church Fenton, we hold a traditional Morning Prayer service followed by tea, coffee and plenty of cake.

And each Thursday from 10.00 AM we hold Coffee & Communion at St Mary's Tadcaster. This is a very informal coffee morning (there may be pastries too if you're lucky!) This is followed by a short communion service at 11.30. If you'd rather just stay for coffee, that's absolutely fine! All are very welcome.
